Meet Rachel Lynch, MBE

Rachel Lynch is a visionary leader in the cheerleading industry, recently honoured with an MBE for her outstanding work with children in sports. As the founder of North East Cheer and owner of their home, The Urban Factory, Rachel has been a driving force in the growth of cheerleading in the UK for over 19 years.

Under Rachel's guidance, North East Cheer has achieved remarkable success both on and off the mat. The program recently made its debut at The Cheerleading Worlds, with both of their Summit teams making finals – a testament to Rachel's dedication and expertise.

Rachel's impact extends beyond her own program. She has transformed The Urban Factory into a multi-discipline venue with over 1500 members, offering cheerleading, gymnastics, parkour, tumbling, and a dedicated early-years program. The growth continues with the launch of satellite programs throughout the region and bespoke in-house coach leadership training.

As the founder of The Cheerleading CEO, Rachel now shares her wealth of knowledge through business mentoring and support, helping fellow gym owners navigate the challenges and opportunities of the industry.
