How the prizes work
Each prize category is determined by a group of divisions judged together. There are fourteen categories in total, and every one of them pays cash.
The size of the pot is set by how many athletes register. Four tiers, and the whole room unlocks them together. At Silver and above we pay the top three in each Worlds category and the top five in every other category, which is 60 cash prizes. At Bronze we pay the top three everywhere, which is 42. * Every eligible team can win, with or without an end-of-season bid. Level 4.2, Novice, University and Master's are not included in the cash prizes.

Is this real cash?
Yes. Prizes are paid in cash to the winning programmes.
How is the size of the prize pool decided?
By how many athletes register for Live Your Legacy 2027. There are four tiers: Bronze at 4,100 athletes, Silver at 4,400, Gold at 4,700 and Platinum at 5,000. Every category pays cash at every tier, so no category is ever dropped from a smaller pot. Only the amounts change, and at Silver and above we also pay 4th and 5th place in every non-Worlds category.
The tier is confirmed when entries close, and we announce it before the event so every programme knows what is on the floor. If fewer than 4,100 athletes are registered at the entry deadline, no cash prizes are awarded.
Which categories are eligible?
The categories shown in the prizes chart: Cheerleading Worlds, Dance Worlds, Non-Worlds Cheer (Levels 1 to 4), Non-Worlds Dance, and Prep and School (Prep Levels 1 and 2, Prep Levels 2.1 and 3.1, and all school divisions). Any team in one of these categories can win, with or without an end-of-season bid. Level 4.2, Novice, University and Master's are not included.
Do we need an end-of-season bid to win?
No. Any team competing in an eligible category can win, whether or not you hold or expect an end-of-season bid.
How are winners decided?
Each category groups several divisions together. We combine every eligible team in that category, and the top scoring teams win. At Silver tier and above, that means the top three in each Worlds category and the top five in every non-Worlds category. At Bronze, it means the top three in every category. For dance, all pom and hip hop routines are judged together, and all lyrical and jazz routines are judged together.
How and when is the money paid?

Do we need to do anything to enter?
Just register your team in an eligible category for Live Your Legacy 2027. Prize entry is automatic.
