This event takes place at a world class venue that you will love. That means we are providing world class security teams for you. Therefore, everyone will be expected to follow venue and security protocols without exception. This includes being kind to all staff and security. They are working to serve you and keep you safe.

Athlete Bags vs Spectator Bags

Standard bag policies apply for all spectators and non-competing athletes. The bag policy is as follows, direct from Resorts World:

However, if you do, please only bring essentials with you and not the kitchen sink. You must only bring one bag that is no larger than 21cm x 30cm x 19cm – that’s the size of an A4 sheet of paper. This means we are able to search you quickly, and with minimal contact.

There are no exceptions to our bag policy, so if you have brought a bag larger than what’s permitted you will not be allowed to enter with it. It goes without saying (but we will say it anyway... Absolutely NO SUITCASES or ROLLER BAGS permitted). See storage options on this page if this applies to you.

Athlete Backpacks are the only exception to this protocol.* Athletes may bring their team bag. All bags must be processed through bag check. Athletes should bring water bottles that are empty. Unlike in past, we have now negotiated for metal water bottles to be allowed for athletes, so that is fine as long as you arrive with them empty. Refill stations are throughout the building.

As the bag policy prevents non-competitor rucksacks, oversize bags and any luggage, we'll be operating a bag drop facility on South Car Park 3. This is a chargeable service (£15) so it is more ideal to leave items at home, in your locked car/hotel, or with a trusted friend outside the arena to avoid having to pay. Do not show up with a bag larger than A4 as a non-competitor. Any oversized items will not be permitted entry. Please plan ahead to store luggage with your hotel or elsewhere when possible so you can avoid the fee.

*Persons with infants who need baby bags or medications may be allowed in with necessary bag. However we kindly ask you to consolidate and only bring the items needed for your time inside the venue. This will minimize bag search time and help prevent delays.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ENTRY & RE-ENTRY:  Venues normally do not allow ticket holders to exit and re-enter. In past, this venue has made an exception for this event. HOWEVER, the process of re-entering creates a multiplier effect with massive load on the entry team, and adds wait times at the door all day long. Since the return of events, we've sadly seen a general shift in behaviours at the door that do not reflect the Legacy ethos and the true kindness and respect that our sport is intended to bring. Recently, we've seen disregard to bag rules, safety rules (metal water bottles), and simple human kindness, all of which makes for longer lines, a lesser experience, and is not the lesson we want to teach our young athletes. The crowds due to re-entry have been a big contributor to this shift. 

Because of that, the venue has put us on notice and stated they will remove the option to have re-entry next year if this happens again. So we are asking everyone to PLEASE do not leave the venue unless you absolutely have no other choice. Imagine one spectator going in/out of bag check for coffee or a walk twice in the day. It seems like nothing, but... times thousands of people, you can see the challenge and why we are requesting your help. 

We have arranged for many awards celebrations throughout the day so you'll not be "stuck." The venue is massive, has tons of food options, quiet spaces, a designated smoking area, and the coffee is just as good (and cheaper) inside the venue than outside. Please help us keep our re-entry privileges by not abusing them and try to stick around inside the venue when you can.

A reminder that pre-purchasing spectator tickets is HIGHLY recommended for everyone. Prices go up on the door, starting at noon on Thursday prior to the event. It will make your entry much smoother! Click Here to get your spectator ticket.

There are excellent catering outlets on site, so outside food or drink is not permitted. Exceptions are made for dietary requirements/allergies, babies and very young children, as well as athletes for hydration - see more info on that below. In general, it is expected that this allowance is respected as such, and any items seen to take advantage of this grace are subject to confiscation. 

Exception: Athlete Water Bottles

Athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. They will be able to attend the water bottle fill stations in the arena to refill at their leisure. 

All UK venues have restrictions on prams, so we recommend whenever possible that you do not bring a pram with you. If you do, they will not be allowed in the concourse areas. Here is the venue policy:

• Please note that whilst you may bring your children to the venue in a pushchair, car seat or carry cot, we do not allow these items into the seating areas as a condition of our venue licence. Please leave these with Security on entry. They will give you a ticket and you can collect your items after the show.

Hot tools are not allowed in the venue anywhere other than the dedicated Hot Tools Area, located just behind the Merchandise area.

Please do not plug in hot tools along any other corridor or outlet in the arena. Thank you for your cooperation.

NOTE: Phones and other devices may not be charged in this area. If you need charging, there are charging stations available on site for a nominal fee. Abuse of this space will result in loss of privilege for a hot tools space.

There's not a bad seat in the house, but please note that Legacy offers a VIP Viewing Area for Parents/Supporters, if you'd like to gather on floor level during the time of your team's performance. We kindly remind you that the VIP area is a short-term, pass through area intended for access while your team competes only.

The VIP Viewing Areas for each arena will be signposted. For Freedom Arena it is located at the bottom of the ramp under block 7. For Honour Arena, the VIP Viewing Area is directly centre in front of the floor. When the routine is done, we ask all parents/supporters to depart and allow space for the next competing teams.
