This event takes place at a world class venue that you will love. That means we are providing world class security teams for you. Therefore, everyone will be expected to follow Resorts World venue and security protocols without exception. This includes being kind to all staff and security. They are working to serve you and keep you safe.

Athlete Bags vs Spectator Bags

Standard bag policies apply for all spectators and non-competing athletes. The bag policy is as follows, direct from Resorts World:

However, if you do, please only bring essentials with you and not the kitchen sink. You must only bring one bag that is no larger than 21cm x 30cm x 19cm – that’s the size of an A4 sheet of paper. This means we are able to search you quickly, and with minimal contact.

There are no exceptions to our bag policy, so if you have brought a bag larger than what’s permitted you will not be allowed to enter with it. It goes without saying (but we will say it anyway... Absolutely NO SUITCASES or ROLLER BAGS permitted). See storage options on this page if this applies to you.

Athlete Backpacks are the only exception to this protocol.* Athletes may bring their team bag. All bags must be processed through bag check. Athletes should bring water bottles that are plastic only. Metal water bottles are never allowed and will be confiscated, so plan accordingly. Refill stations are throughout the building for plastic water bottles.

As the bag policy prevents non-competitor rucksacks, oversize bags and any luggage, we'll be operating a bag drop facility on South Car Park 3. This is a chargeable service (£12) so it is more ideal to leave items at home, in your locked car/hotel, or with a trusted friend outside the arena to avoid having to pay. Do not show up with a bag larger than A4 as a non-competitor. Any oversized items will not be permitted entry. Please plan ahead to store luggage with your hotel or elsewhere when possible so you can avoid the fee.

*Persons with infants who need baby bags or medications may be allowed in with necessary bag. However we kindly ask you to consolidate and only bring the items needed for your time inside the venue. This will minimize bag search time and help prevent delays.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ENTRY & RE-ENTRY:  Venues normally do not allow ticket holders to exit and re-enter. In past, this venue has made an exception for this event. HOWEVER, the process of re-entering creates a multiplier effect with massive load on the entry team, and adds wait times at the door all day long. Since the return of events, we've sadly seen a general shift in behaviours at the door that do not reflect the Legacy ethos and the true kindness and respect that our sport is intended to bring. Recently, we've seen disregard to bag rules, safety rules (metal water bottles), and simple human kindness, all of which makes for longer lines, a lesser experience, and is not the lesson we want to teach our young athletes. The crowds due to re-entry have been a big contributor to this shift. 

Because of that, the venue has put us on notice and stated they will remove the option to have re-entry next year if this happens again. So we are asking everyone to PLEASE do not leave the venue unless you absolutely have no other choice. Imagine one spectator going in/out of bag check for coffee or a walk twice in the day. It seems like nothing, but... times thousands of people, you can see the challenge and why we are requesting your help. 

We have arranged for many awards celebrations throughout the day so you'll not be "stuck." The venue is massive, has tons of food options, quiet spaces, a designated smoking area, and the coffee is just as good (and cheaper) inside the venue than outside. Please help us keep our re-entry privileges by not abusing them and try to stick around inside the venue when you can.
